Chesapeake Chapter Member Receives INCOSE Outstanding Service Award

David Alldredge, an Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) and an active member of the INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter attended the 3-day (July 20-22) INCOSE International Symposium online from South Africa.  The conference covered numerous topics with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, Technical Leadership, Verification & Validation, and Needs & Requirements Definition. 

At this conference, He was awarded an INCOSE Outstanding Service Award for serving INCOSE for many years in the following areas:

  1. Serving as a Systems Engineering Professional Certification Application Reviewer

  2. Starting the Student Division of INCOSE at the University of Maryland (UMD)

  3. Serving as an Adjunct Professor of Systems Engineering at UMD

  4. Serving on the Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Chapter as Treasurer and as an Ambassador to the UMD Institute for Systems Research (ISR).

At the conclusion of the conference, David connected with the new INCOSE Social Engineering Working Group and is exploring possibilities of collaborating using his engineering expertise coupled with his wife’s extensive sociological training. This group explores the impact of systems on society and the social acceptance of systems by the system users and the broader community.
