Myra Parsons Gross, ESEP
Chapter Certification Mentor
Myra Parsons Gross has more than 30 years of systems engineering experience. She has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from California State University – Long Beach.
Myra began her Systems Engineering career as a Radar Software Design Engineer and Data Analyst for Raytheon (former Hughes Aircraft). After 5 years, she joined Westinghouse (Northrop Grumman) and advanced her skills in systems engineering working a number of succession radar development programs. Myra served as a Program Manager for several large software development programs. Myra pursued her ESEP certification and accepted an assignment as a Systems Engineer contractor within the IC. Myra is currently modeling Enterprise Architecture, dataflows, relationships, dependencies and performing gap analysis and supporting assessments required for executive decisions.
Myra served as the Communications Director for INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter 2017-2018, was a charter member and Past President of the INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter Women in Systems Engineering (WISE) strategic initiative to increase representation of women in systems engineering. Her continuing interest in INCOSE is not only to promote systems engineering but to mentor young engineering professionals. Myra has been a regular volunteer for the Chapter sponsored SEP Exams and continuously encourages her colleagues to receive their certification, offering to provide feedback on their application packages, providing study opportunities and encouragement for those preparing for certification.
Myra remains active with INCOSE, attending a number of International Symposiums and International Workshops and is a member of the INCOSE PM-SE and ELSE Working Groups.
