2015 Chapter Holiday Party and Awards Ceremony

We held our Holiday Party and Awards Ceremony on December 9 and it was a great success. A total of 56 members and their guests attended. Many individuals and corporate sponsors were recognized and received awards. Please congratulate our members and students who were recognized for their accomplishments.
Outstanding Medal Award Recipients
Donald Gantzer, Chairman of the Baltimore and Anne Arundel High school Science Fair support
David Alldredge, CSEP, for faithful service in maintaining the chapter’s treasury
Charlie Welch for provisioning the INCOSE Chesapeake Chapter logo shirts for individuals attending the International Symposium
Gundars Osvalds, ESEP, for intensive analysis of membership posture and records activity
Kent de Jong, CSEP, for emergency management of SEP and Holiday Receptions while performing as treasurer
Charles Struchen, CSEP, for judging science fairs
Susan Plano-Faber for supporting the first DODAF System Architect Class and also judging the Anne Arundel High School Science Fair
John Boccio, ESEP, for his support of Corporate Outreach and liaison activities
David Fadeley, ESEP, for making INCOSE history by chairing and leading the first local ESEP Summit

Corporate Sponsors Recognized
Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Applied Physics Lab (APL), Dr. Ron Luman. APL is the chapter’s longest standing sponsor and is a close partner of the chapter. We hold our monthly meetings at JHU APL facilities and their leadership is essential The Chesapeake Chapter of INCOSE is proud to recognize the following organizations for sponsoring our endeavors to expand the understanding and appreciation of Systems Engineering in the local area to the chapter’s continued success.
Jovian Concepts, Dr. Richard Scheper. Jovian has partnered with the chapter on a number of occasions and, in particular, hosted at their facility in Columbia, MD the WISE Social, which was a resounding success.
Praxis, Eve Mobley. Praxis provided funding for the Lego Kits used in the Girl Scout First Lego League Initiative. Members of the WISE Team acted as mentors to the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland for this event.
ClearEdge IT Solutions, Christine Puglisi. A vigorous supporter of Women in Systems Engineering (WISE) through sponsorship and participation. President Christy Puglisi participated on the Women Entrepreneur Panel that WISE held earlier in the year. They have generously donated funds to support various events, awards, and prizes.
